European Patent Validation
Secure EPO-granted rights through national validation or by requesting unitary protection. Opt-outs from the Unified Patent Court (UPC) should also be considered at this stage.

Representation throughout Europe
Dennemeyer manages EP validation through direct representatives in 16 EPC member states. Where necessary, we entrust these duties to our established partners elsewhere in Europe.
Seamless integration
Validation services are directly integrated with all of Dennemeyer’s other patent management offerings, allowing for a simpler, streamlined, more secure process.
Validate your European patent across the region
Getting a European patent is a major step, but decisions follow fast. You have one month to request unitary protection or opt out of the UPC. If you choose to receive a “traditional” European patent instead of or in addition to a Unitary Patent (UP), you have three months to validate nationally in each EPC country where protection is needed. Dennemeyer & Associates handles the details, including translations, filings and deadlines, so nothing is missed.

Handle validations without the legwork
The UP / EPV App helps you move quickly through the validation phase by anticipating what needs to happen next. As part of our digital IP Lounge, it offers a single access point to Dennemeyer services — from filings and validation tools to wider portfolio actions.

Seamless integration
Benefit from the synergies of our services. There are optional activities that can be integrated into the EP Validation workflow to the same extent as the preceding filing and prosecution stages.
Patent Renewals
Limits the volume of correspondence for clients. This results in less time spent on email handling and a reduced task for in-house staff.
Recordals
When portfolios are transferred, related documents need to be filed at the EPO and / or national patent offices.

Filing
With similar processes implemented and the same communication and reporting concepts applied, the result is a reduced administrative burden for the client.
UPC
Our European patent attorneys with litigation rights are listed in the UPC Register and qualified to act in all relevant matters, including requests for unitary effect, opt-outs from UPC jurisdiction and legal representation.
Prosecution
The same lead patent attorney is assigned for both services. A more efficient transition between the two phases of the EP life cycle.
